Meet Our Team

Alyssa Goulet-Almeida, LICSW, MSW

Truly connecting, feeling heard and being validated can be difficult in the hustle and bustle of today’s world.  Alyssa’s practice is grounded on the idea that you can begin to slow down and process the connections between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors when you feel supported in a safe space.  She thrives on mindfully guiding you toward discovering the insight and awareness necessary to begin your process of healing and growth.  Real change is not easy, and it takes motivation and accountability to achieve, but Alyssa’s calming nature and genuine personality will make you feel at ease to open up without fear of judgment.  When you are ready, she will gently push you out of your comfort zone to uncover your strengths, explore areas of weakness,  work through barriers and celebrate successes together.

Alyssa utilizes a holistic approach with various treatment modalities including aromatherapy, mindfulness, nature, and grounding techniques to balance emotion and regulate behavior. She works with clients of all ages, specializing in working through transitions and life changes, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma but is available to support anyone looking to grow, learn, and become the best version of themselves.

Alyssa has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work.  She brings a wide variety of experience from her time working in schools, children's psychiatric hospitals, adolescent residential treatment centers, and community-based, residential, and clinic inpatient and intensive outpatient environments. She has earned certificates in alcohol and drug counseling and trauma treatment for children and adolescents.

Alyssa currently accepts BCBS and private pay on a sliding scale. She can be reached through email at alyssa@balsamlotus.com or by phone at 401.541.5989.  Alyssa is ready to partner with you to help you find the connection you are seeking.
