Our Offerings

Women's Circle at Balsam Lotus

The third Monday of every month

With Guest Facilitator, Rachel Leveillee

Why Circle?

Circles offer us a powerful opportunity to gather in a safe and sacred way, to be seen and heard. As we share, we connect with the mysteries and beauty within each of us, tethering each person together in a profound way.

Creating a circle together, in person, satisfies our craving for togetherness. Our spontaneous and authentic connection to other women helps us feel how much we matter. It is a buoy for our mental and emotional wellbeing, individually and collectively.

Connection helps us feel secure and supported, while offering a freedom to expand into a fuller version of ourselves. It gives us a sense of purpose. It inspires us. Ultimately, connection reminds us of the person we truly are before others tell us who we are supposed to be.

What to expect

Generally, we begin with a short opening ritual, which may include meditation, breathing practices, light movement (no yoga clothes necessary), journaling, or something else entirely! Then, we share: Individually. When each person is ready. For a short time. Without comment, reflection, or judgment. We witness the humanity in others and acknowledge our sameness. Then, we close the circle with another ritual.

Please bring a notebook/journal, as sometimes writing is incorporated.

Why Teen Esteem?

So many of today's youth are struggling to see their worth and have difficulty believing in themselves.

Teen Esteem is designed to help those who are wanting to increase their self esteem and improve their overall feelings about themselves.

Providing a space where teens can feel seen and heard is a powerful way to create connections with others who may feel similarly, and together gain a greater sense of self.

What to Expect

Each week, Teen Esteem will focus on a different area related to individual growth.  The group will begin with a brief mindfulness check in and then dive right into learning and sharing about the weekly topic.  Participants will be invited to take part in the group through sharing their thoughts and feelings.  However, active listening is also accepted and encouraged.  We want our teens to feel safe and comfortable within the environment.  Below is a list of topics that will be covered each week.

Week 1: Goal Setting / What Makes You, You.

Week 2: Self Talk / Self Love

Week 3: Body Image / The Social Media Impact

Week 4: Inner You / Strength and Resilience

Week 5: Fear, Failure, Mindfulness

Week 6: Confidence / Self-Esteem

Week 7: Compassion

Week 8: Growth and Courage
